Look out Penguin Army!! Batman is in the igloo!!
That’s right we saw Batman: HUSH and are dying to tell you about it.
Warner Brothers and the DC Cinematic universe still haven’t quite gotten the hang of making live action super hero films. Shazam and Wonder Woman were awesome. Aquaman… I’ll tell you when I can sit through all of it without all the sudden realizing that I have to do almost anything but watch Aquaman at that moment. I’m sure it’s a fun movie, it just hasn’t hooked me in in the several times I’ve tried to watch it. Seriously…. I tried.
Back to Batman: HUSH…..
While the DC Cinematic universe is beginning to find it’s legs, the animation department at Warner Brothers has been making quality films for…. oh…. Ever? I really don’t know nor do I feel like looking right now but I do know that just about every animated movie I’ve seen from the DC universe has been pretty close to, if not perfect. Batman: HUSH isn’t perfect, but it sure comes close.
One of the comic series that I hadn’t read, the Batman: HUSH story was a good Batman story at it’s core. I would have love to see more in the detective work but being an all around badass is also his super power so be sure to enjoy all of the ass kicking that takes place. Batman has to battle and bat-a-rang through a slew of Bat-Baddies including Bane, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, The Joker and Harley Quinn in order to get to the HMFIC, HUSH!!!! Hush is a new villain on the scene and has all of Gotham doing his bidding.
Cameos by Superman, Nightwing, Batgirl, Lex Luthor (referencing some cool other DC Animated films that I am, again, too lazy to look up), Robin aka Damien Wayne.
I won’t give too much away, but Catwoman plays a big role in this film. If you know Batman/Bruce’s history with Catwoman/Selina Kyle, things get real.
Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.
